We’re not looking to recruit as many instructors as possible. We’re looking for the right ones.

DVSA Approved ADI

You must hold a current green ADI badge. We don’t take on PDIs or trainees — our pupils expect fully qualified instructors and that’s what we deliver.

Genuine Local Knowledge

You need to know your area properly — the roads, the roundabouts, the test routes, and the tricky spots. Our USP is local expertise, so we need instructors who live and breathe their patch.

Genuinely Cares About Pupils

This isn’t just a box to tick. We want instructors who are patient, who take time to explain things properly, and who get genuine satisfaction from helping people pass. If you’re just filling time slots, we’re not the right fit.

Own Car & Insurance

You’ll need your own suitable tuition vehicle with dual controls, fully insured for driving instruction. This is your business — you bring the car, we bring the pupils and the brand.

Grade A or B Standards Check

We require all TDA instructors to hold and maintain a grade A or B on their DVSA Standards Check. This isn’t just a formality — it’s how we protect the quality of the brand and the experience every pupil receives.

We handle marketing, SEO, and enquiries for your area. Leads come through our website and are passed directly to you. No more spending your evenings chasing work on Facebook or paying for ads that don’t convert.

You’ll be represented by a professional, well-built website with dedicated area pages, SEO-optimised content, and booking forms that actually work. Your profile, reviews, and credentials all featured prominently.

Full Diary Control

You set your own hours, your own days, and your own schedule. Want to work school hours only? Fine. Want to do six-day weeks? That’s up to you. There are no minimum hours, no forced bookings, and no one telling you when to work.

Competitive Weekly Fee

Our franchise fee is a simple, flat weekly amount — no percentage cuts, no hidden charges, and no fees on top of fees. You keep everything you earn above the weekly fee. Get in touch for full details on pricing.

4 Weeks Fee-Free Holiday

Every TDA franchisee gets 4 weeks per calendar year where no franchise fee is payable. Take your time off without the weekly fee ticking over. Just give us 7 days’ notice and the week is yours, fee-free.

Small Team, Direct Access

You’re not franchise number 847 in a national chain. TDA is deliberately small-scale, which means you have direct access to the founder, Darren, for support, advice, and collaboration. Decisions are made quickly and your input actually matters.

Your Reputation, Protected

Because we’re selective about who joins, you’re not dragged down by poor instructors elsewhere in the network. Every TDA instructor meets the same standard. When a pupil sees the TDA brand, they know they’re getting quality.

If we both want to go ahead, we’ll sort the paperwork, get your profile set up on the website, and make sure everything is in place for your area. Simple and straightforward.

Your area page goes live, enquiries start flowing, and you focus on what you do best — teaching people to drive. We handle the marketing so you can focus on the instruction.

Franchise FAQ

Yes. We only recruit instructors who hold a current DVSA green badge. We don’t take on PDIs or trainees — our pupils are promised fully qualified instructors and we need to deliver on that promise.
We charge a competitive flat weekly fee with no hidden charges or percentage cuts. The exact figure depends on your area and arrangement. Get in touch and we’ll be completely transparent about costs — we don’t believe in surprises.
There is an initial 12-month term. After that, the agreement rolls on a weekly basis and either side can end it with just 2 weeks’ written notice. The 12 months gives both sides confidence to invest properly in the arrangement — after that, you stay because it works, not because you’re locked in.
We invest in local SEO, a professional website, and targeted area pages to generate enquiries for each location. Many new franchisees find their diary filling up within the first few weeks. We’re also upfront — if we don’t think there’s enough demand in an area, we won’t recruit there.
Completely. There are no minimum hours, no mandatory weekends, and no one telling you when to work. You manage your own diary and decide what works for you and your pupils.
Yes. Any pupils you bring with you from a previous role are yours. We’re interested in growing the total number of pupils in your area, not taking credit for ones you already have.
