Intensive Driving Courses

Pass your driving test in as little as one to two weeks. Structured, focused courses designed around your local test routes. Available across all four of our areas.

Why Choose an Intensive Course?

An intensive driving course condenses months of weekly lessons into a focused block of daily tuition, typically lasting one to two weeks. Instead of learning for an hour each week and forgetting half of it by your next lesson, you drive every day, building skills rapidly and retaining far more between sessions. For many learners, it’s the fastest and most efficient way to pass.

Our intensive courses are designed around real test routes in your local area. Every hour of tuition is purposeful — there’s no filler, no driving around aimlessly, and no unnecessary repetition of things you’ve already mastered. Your instructor assesses your starting point at the beginning, builds a personalised plan, and works through it methodically so you’re test-ready by the end of the course.

Pass in 1–2 Weeks

No more months of waiting. Concentrated daily lessons mean you progress faster and retain more between sessions.

Local Test Route Training

Every lesson is focused on the actual routes used by examiners at your local test centre. No generic training.

Structured & Purposeful

A clear lesson plan tailored to your ability. Every session builds on the last with specific targets and progress tracking.

Better Value Overall

Intensive pupils typically need fewer total hours than weekly learners because there’s less skill loss between sessions.

How It Works

1

Get in Touch

Fill in the enquiry form or give us a call. We’ll have a quick chat about your experience, which area you’re in, and when you’d like to start. We’ll then recommend the right package for you.

2

Book Your Dates

Once you’re happy, we’ll book a block of consecutive days with your local instructor. You’ll also need a practical test booked — we can advise on timing and how to find available slots at your nearest centre.

3

Start Your Course

Your instructor picks you up from home on day one. Each day follows a structured plan: building core skills, tackling weak areas, and progressively working through real test routes. You’ll notice the difference within the first few days.

4

Mock Tests & Final Prep

In the final days of your course, you’ll complete full mock tests under exam conditions. Your instructor will fine-tune any remaining areas and make sure you’re feeling confident, calm, and completely ready.

5

Pass Your Test

Your instructor takes you to the test centre, gives you a final warm-up drive, and you sit your test. With the right preparation behind you, there should be no surprises — just a fair assessment of skills you’ve already demonstrated in practice.

Who Are Intensive Courses Best For?

Need Your Licence for Work

Got a new job that requires driving? An intensive course gets you on the road in weeks, not months.

Students on a Break

Use your summer, Easter, or Christmas break to pass. Two weeks of focused learning while you’re off.

Failed Before & Want to Fix It

If you’ve failed a test and want focused preparation for your next attempt, a short intensive course can fill the gaps fast.

Tired of Slow Progress

Been having weekly lessons for months without feeling test-ready? An intensive block can be the push you need to finally get there.

Intensive Course FAQ

Absolutely. Our 30 and 40-hour packages are specifically designed for beginners. You’ll start with the fundamentals — vehicle controls, moving off, stopping, steering — and progress through to independent driving and test-standard manoeuvres. Many of our first-time learners have passed through the intensive route with excellent results.
You need a valid theory test certificate to book your practical driving test, but you don’t need to have passed it before starting your intensive course. Ideally, aim to pass your theory before or during the first week of your course so that your practical test can be booked as close to the end of your course as possible. We can offer guidance and resources to help you prepare.
Typically 3 to 4 hours per day, with breaks built in. This is enough to make meaningful progress without causing fatigue, which is counterproductive. Your instructor will adjust the schedule based on how you’re responding — some days you might do a bit more, others a bit less. Quality always comes before quantity.
If you need additional hours beyond your package, you can book extra lessons at our standard hourly rate. This is completely normal and nothing to worry about — everyone learns at a different pace. Your instructor will be upfront with you throughout about your progress and whether extra time is likely to be needed.
The DVSA practical test fee (£62 weekday, £75 weekend/evening) is not included in our course prices — you book and pay for this directly with DVSA. However, use of the car for your test is included, and your instructor will drive you to the test centre and give you a warm-up session beforehand at no extra charge.
We understand that an intensive course is a significant investment. We offer flexible payment options — typically a deposit to secure your dates followed by the balance before your course starts. Get in touch and we’ll work out a payment arrangement that suits you.
The content is the same — the difference is pace and scheduling. Intensive courses compress your learning into daily sessions over one to three weeks, while weekly lessons spread the same learning over several months at one or two hours per week. Intensive learners typically need fewer total hours because they retain more between sessions. Weekly lessons suit people who prefer a slower pace or can’t commit to a full week of daily driving. See our weekly lessons page for more details.
